Activate your tag — Help Center

Activation links your ZoomiTag to your account so it can carry your pet's profile and — on a ZoomiTag Health — power live GPS, activity, and sleep. You do the whole thing in the Zoomi app, and it takes a minute or two.

Before you start

You'll need a Zoomi account — sign in first, or install the app and sign up.
If you have a ZoomiTag Health, power it on first — the activation wizard asks you to switch it on before connecting. The basic ZoomiTag has no button, so there's nothing to switch on.

Activate in the app

Open the Zoomi app and go to the My Tags tab.
Tap Add Tag (or Activate a Tag if it's your first one).
Scan the QR code on the back of your ZoomiTag with your camera. Prefer to type it? Tap Enter manually and key in the serial number or PT-code printed under the QR code.
The app links the tag to your account. On a basic ZoomiTag, you're done — it's ready for a profile.

If the QR code won't read, hold the tag steady in good light about 15 cm from the camera, then type the code under it instead. Health tags: use the full serial number on the back. Basic (Lite) tags: use the full code starting with "PT-". Both activate the tag the same way.

ZoomiTag Health: one more step

Activating a Health tag adds a subscription step, because the live GPS, activity, and sleep features run on a cellular connection. The app shows the £49/year plan and opens a secure checkout — once payment goes through, activation finishes and you can assign the tag to your pet. See Your subscription for the details.

If the tag isn't recognised

Double-check you've entered the full code exactly as printed. If you see "we couldn't find this tag", make sure it's one you've ordered and that you've copied every character. If it says the tag is already activated to another account, it's linked elsewhere — email hello@zoomitag.com with your serial number and we'll sort it out.

What happens next

Once the tag is activated you can build your pet's profile and assign the tag to them.
