Privacy and visibility

PawanPawan · Updated 28 June 2026

You decide how much of your pet's profile a finder sees. You fill in the full record once; the public page a finder sees when they scan shows only the parts you choose to display.

What's always shown

When a finder scans the tag, the public profile always shows the identity and contact details that help reunite you:

  • Your pet's photo, name, breed, age and any badges
  • Your owner contact — name and the phone number behind the Call Owner button

These are the essentials of a finder page, so they aren't hidden.

Sections you can show or hide

Four sections have their own visibility switch in the profile editor. Turn any of them off and that section won't appear on the public page:

Section What it holds
Safety & medical Health notes and important instructions
Care & routine Daily routine, food and feeding
Emergency contact Backup contact name and number
Vet Vet name and phone

On the web editor you can also drag these sections to reorder them, which changes the order a finder sees.

Anything you leave out of the profile entirely is never shown. The visibility switches simply decide whether sections you have filled in appear on the public page.

Preview before you share

Use Preview public profile in the editor to see your page exactly as a finder will, so you can check what's visible before sharing the tag.

Lost mode

Marking your pet as lost adds a prominent banner to the public profile urging finders to contact you, and makes any finder alerts reach you immediately. See Turn on lost mode.

Keep your owner phone number current — when it changes, update the profile and the new number applies instantly the next time the tag is scanned.
