Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 29 March 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules that apply to your use of the Zoomi website, your Zoomi account, pet profiles, and the ZoomiTag finder system. By using any of our services, you agree to comply with this policy. This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service.
1. About This Policy
Zoomi is operated by Accelevate UK Ltd. We want our platform to be safe, helpful, and trustworthy for all users, including pet owners and anyone who finds and scans a ZoomiTag. This policy outlines what we expect from our users and what behaviour is not permitted.
We reserve the right to take action against any account or user that violates this policy, as described in the Enforcement section below.
2. Acceptable Use of Pet Profiles
Pet profiles are a core feature of Zoomi, designed to help identify pets and reunite them with their owners if they become lost. When creating and maintaining a pet profile, you must:
- Provide accurate and truthful information about your pet, including their name, breed, and any relevant medical or behavioural information.
- Only create profiles for pets that you own or are legally responsible for.
- Keep your pet's profile information current, particularly contact details and any changes in ownership.
- Ensure that any photos or images you upload are of your own pet and do not contain offensive, inappropriate, or misleading content.
You are solely responsible for the content of your pet profiles. Zoomi does not verify the accuracy of profile information but reserves the right to remove profiles that violate this policy.
3. Prohibited Content
You must not upload, post, or transmit any content through the Zoomi platform that:
- Is illegal: Violates any applicable law or regulation, or promotes illegal activities.
- Is harmful or abusive: Contains threats, harassment, hate speech, or content that encourages violence against any person or animal.
- Is misleading: Contains false or deceptive information intended to mislead other users, such as fake pet profiles or fraudulent ownership claims.
- Infringes rights: Violates the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
- Is commercial spam: Uses pet profiles or the finder system for advertising, promotions, or any commercial purpose unrelated to pet identification.
- Contains malware: Includes viruses, malicious code, or any material designed to disrupt or damage the platform or other users' devices.
4. Tag and Finder System
The ZoomiTag finder system is designed to help lost pets be returned to their owners. All users of the system, including those who find and scan a tag, must act in good faith. Specifically:
- Good faith use: If you find a pet with a ZoomiTag, please use the information displayed to contact the owner or follow the instructions provided. The system relies on the kindness and honesty of finders.
- No tampering: You must not tamper with, alter, duplicate, or attempt to reprogramme any ZoomiTag. Tags are linked to specific accounts and any tampering may constitute a criminal offence.
- No misuse: You must not use the finder system to track, stalk, or harass pet owners, or to obtain personal information for any purpose other than reuniting a pet with its owner.
- Reporting found pets: If you scan a ZoomiTag and are unable to contact the owner, we encourage you to report the found pet through the system or contact us at hello@zoomitag.com.
5. Account Conduct
To maintain the security and integrity of our platform, you agree to the following:
- No sharing credentials: Your account is personal to you. Do not share your login details with anyone else. If you need to transfer ownership of a pet profile, contact us for assistance.
- No automated access: You must not use bots, scrapers, or any automated tools to access the Zoomi website or services without our prior written permission.
- No reverse engineering: You must not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Zoomi platform, ZoomiTag hardware, or associated software.
- No circumvention: You must not attempt to bypass any security measures, access controls, or usage limits implemented on our platform.
6. Enforcement
If we determine that you have violated this Acceptable Use Policy, we may take one or more of the following actions at our discretion:
- Warning: We may issue a formal warning and ask you to correct the violation.
- Content removal: We may remove or disable any content that violates this policy without prior notice.
- Suspension: We may temporarily suspend your account while we investigate a potential violation.
- Termination: We may permanently terminate your account for serious or repeated violations. If your account is terminated, any active subscriptions will be cancelled and you may not be entitled to a refund.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any enforcement action and provide an opportunity to address the issue, except where doing so would compromise the safety or security of the platform or other users.
7. Reporting Violations
If you believe that another user has violated this Acceptable Use Policy, or if you encounter any content on our platform that you believe is inappropriate or harmful, please report it to us at hello@zoomitag.com. Please include as much detail as possible, including the profile or content in question and the nature of the violation.
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Reports can be made anonymously, though providing your contact details allows us to follow up if needed.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be communicated via email or a notice on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
